Don’t be dumbfounded..
harken your ears ...and listen..
Where is the rain drumming all night on the corrugated tin roof?
Where are those bulbuls and sparrows hustle for the worms?
Where are those rain drenched wilted trees, shrugging water pellets on you..
where you hear the clip clop of the bullock cart zipping past the meadows ?
Where it is the hum of the bumble bees and the call of the partridge ?
The cries of the fishermen in the distant sea shore, where are they..
Where are the croaking frogs and the trilling crickets ?
Where are those deep breath of the toiling women in the paddy fields...
where are those gusty winds and the rattle of the reeds...
All I hear now is the hollering of the silence... deafening and ringing!
