Charmed I’m sure
You walked as lightly as a fly
On our first date, I knew you were shy
When you sat still, you were like a flower
I knew you were my wife that very hour
The expensive food I ordered for had your looks
Wise words I spoke which I had read in my books
You came closer and my arms went cold
Was I really shy? No! I had to be bold
I gesticulated till you thought I was being too dramatic
I then used words and you thought I was being too romantic
On our first date, I proposed
You thought I was joking and then opposed
You said “It’s not good to play with a woman’s feelings”
You still insisted even though I was kneeling
Since the day I saw you, I fell in love with you
You had a boyfriend so I had to wait in the queue
I love you my wife and forever will
Even if you hurt me a thousand times, I’ll love you still
I’m yours forever, till death do us part
For we’ve been destined together since the start.
