O, THE bugle-horn I heard last night!
Its wild tones set the echoes flying;
And night long in my soul, Delight
Danced, danced her gift for dancing trying!
Such tones, I swear a magic bear,
Which turns to heaven the hell man
mourneth,
And almost match the joys I snatch,
When Minnie's rose my breast adorneth!
