In the rain,
Where laughter and frown smeared our faces
As the pomegranate failed to bud.
And with shuddering kneels we carried the basket of uncertainty home
After tilling the heart of the earth with blunt claws
In the rain,
the ants built another shelter
The Grasshoppers leap in terror at the roaring of the sky.
In the rain,
The birds whistled a song of hope
The bees hummed in excitement, and in
large swarm, eager to hearald a bounty.
After the rain,
Hunger greeted our bones and eyes.
With eyes full of confusion we gazed the sky.
Dismal days have returned to us.
